Tasting visit to the farm
We are very pleased to welcome all interested in learning about our way of raising goats and cheese making.
Each visit and tasting is therefore an opportunity for us to tell you about our work, from caring for the goats to transforming the milk. We enjoy telling our story, sharing our work philosophy and carrying out the daily activities of the farm in your good company.
Tastings at the Podere
The visit will be conducted in either Italian or English by one of us, Nicolò or Valentina. We’ll show you around the shed, the animals and the dairy. After which we will finish with a platter of our cheeses accompanied by fresh bread, EVO oil, wine (a bottle for every 4 guests) and water together with local honey and jams produced by us or from our farmer network.
For a group of 2 people: 50€ per person
- 3-4 people: 40€ per person
- 5-9 people: 35€ per person
- 10 and above: €30 per person
- Children 0-3 years: free
- Children 4-10 years: 15€ per person
Duration of the visit and tasting: 1.30 – 2 hours
Reservation is mandatory and we would prefer ample warning to allow us the opportunity to welcome you in the best possible way. For groups of 8 or more people, it is recommended to book at least a week in advance.
We are a small farm with a small herd of goats, so the availability of cheeses is subject to seasonal production and supply.
However we are sure that you would prefer this as much as we do and which will encourage you to come back again for another visit.
Visit to the farm with tasting and light lunch
The visit will be conducted in Italian or English by either Nicolò or Valentina. We’ll show you the shed, the animals and the cheese- making laboratory. Then we’ll move on to the tasting with a platter of our cheeses accompanied by fresh bread, honey, oil, wine (1 bottle for every 4 guests) and water with particular pairings and condiments for some types of cheese. Together with the tasting, we will prepare a light lunch consisting of a first course, a side dish, wine, water and coffee.
The visit with tasting and light lunch at Podere Le Fornaci caters for a minimum of 4 people and costs:
4-9 people: €55 per person
10 and up: €50 per person
Children 0-3 years: free
Children 4-10 years: 20€ per person

In general, we would prefer at least a minimum of two days’ notice in an experience of cooperation and respect for our farm work and our
mutual experience begins right from the reservation.
We will be waiting for you in our farm among the Chianti hills. Since we’re in the country, you should expect to find some mud, buzzing insects and barnyard smells. So please bring some spare boots or shoes, insect repellent in summer and a smile on your face.
The variety of cheeses we offer is subject to seasonal production and availability during the season.
All activities are accessible to people with reduced mobility. However, we would like to point out that, being in the countryside, it may get muddy in case of rain. Please inform us of your requirements the day before so that we may best organize the activity together.

You can cancel:
- within 72 hours prior to the tasting, i.e. max 3 days before, which entitles you to a full refund
- within 48 hours prior to the tasting, i.e. max 2 days before, which entitles you to 50% of the cost
- within 24 hours, i.e. the day before, means the full cost will be charged.
