A renovated barn set in the middle of goat pastures, vineyards and woods to explore the farm, taste the cheeses and relax in the Chianti hills.
DAIRY MAKING
LABORATORY or
MILKING AND BREAKFAST
Suitable shoes and clothes for the milking shed, slippers and clean clothes to access the laboratory, a happy smile and the enthusiasm to dirty your hands is all you need.
CHEESE
SHOPPING
Dairy products created from our way of farming and from our attention to the vital and changing life of the milk which speaks of something new everyday.
Lunches and
dinners
Lunches and dinners with zero-kilometer food from our vegetable garden, fresh cheese from our goats, and produce from local farmers. A space to spend a day with friends and family; whatever the occasion, we’ll make it special!
Who we are
Gida and Thea
The “very fierce” and “menacing” guardians of our little flock.
Nicolò
Florentine, a graduate in enology and repentant former IT technician. He moves easily between the tractor, the shed and his blues guitar. He has been a member of Podere Le Fornaci since 2016 and takes care of the haymaking, the goats and all the farm maintenance.
Valentina
From Trento and a political science graduate, she chose instead to dedicate her learning and skills to the goats of Podere le Fornaci. She has been a member of the farm since 2016 and takes care of the health of the flock, the tastings and the dairy.
Robin
A melancholy soul and the canine shadow of Nicolò and Valentina.
Farming is wonderful
but also hard work.
